About Margaret "Meg" Kempert, MA, LPCC
MA in Counseling, Webster University
BA in English, California State University - Fullerton
AS in Social and Behavioral Sciences, Citrus College
I am originally from southern California but I’ve lived in New Mexico for the past 33 years. I took a long route to become a counselor, but along the way, I came to know people from a variety of cultures and circumstances which allows me to empathize and understand clients from a wide range of backgrounds.
I hold a Master of Arts degree in Counseling from Webster University. I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from California State University, Fullerton, and an Associate of Sciences degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences from Citrus College. I am also a graduate of the New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics where I learned holistic approaches to healing and about the impact of trauma and stress on the body.
My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe space for you to share your stories and explore, not only how and why unhealthy patterns have emerged, but how stories can be re-written with the goal of becoming more balanced in mind and spirit.
I believe that by providing unconditional positive regard, compassion, acceptance, and empathy, it creates a space that is safe for all emotions, from tears to laughter, from anger to joy. I look forward to hearing your story and being part of your journey back to your true self (it's been there all along).
PLEASE NOTE:
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, I am seeing new clients only via Telehealth. If you need to meet in person, you must provide proof that you have been completely vaccinated against Covid-19.
